Toronto's Thriving Theatre Scene

Post by porschesrule »

The Toronto Star has an article today regarding the new Mirvish theatre season (2011-12). A promotional event was held showcasing this season's lineup of new shows and the author talks about London as being the key source of such shows for Mirvish, with Broadway a distant second. Nice to read that the theatre climate in Toronto is apparently thriving.

It certainly looks like a great season for theater in Toronto. I noticed that none of these shows is booked at the Canon. Hopefully this means they are keeping their options open for a long Billy run. Just have to wait and see.
