A Christmas Story - The Musical

Post by CJ-Rochester »

"A Christmas Story - The Musical" will have its third tour this fall. It is quite a limited one, making only five stops, all in the central US.

Former BETM tour cast members Cal Alexander and Maria Knasel are among the cast, as was previously announced in their respective threads. Here is an interesting video showing the boys auditions. Cal appears several times, starting at 1:28. He has quite a nice singing voice!

This is wonderful news, for Maria and Cal!

It is not the only link between a former cast member of BETM and A Christmas Story, as can be seen here:

What a delightful musical. Packed with great young talent. It was a nice Christmas gift for me.

I must tell you about Cal Alexander. He played Ralphie's younger brother and it was a major role with a lot of singing and dancing.. He was outstanding, and a joy to watch. He was very much at home on the big stage and really knows how to play to the audience. Small boy is branching out.

He could well be a future US Billy, if that is his goal. And there WILL be opportunities.

Remember, he has had some very good training:

(And it is pretty obvious who the Older Billy should be............)

Here is another great Cal Alexander video. Ben Cook helped Cal learn to do "Electricity".

Here is a marvelous interview with Maria Knasel, from St. Louis Public Radio. Lots of insight of tour life, A Christmas Story and Billy Elliot.
