This part seems a bit weird though, don't you think?

Re: Casting Call
Concerning these auditions, I want to be optimistic that this is a sign that the tour will continue. But the SETA contract requires annual auditions, so this may only be a requirement of Actors Equity. Or the producers may just want to keep their options open.
Re: Casting Call
Well, I posted an article which seemed to clearly state that this is the last leg of the US tour (see Publicity for Kansas City).accessmenj wrote:Concerning these auditions, I want to be optimistic that this is a sign that the tour will continue. Re: Casting Call
I am cautious about repeating comments posted elsewhere, but Backstage is a pretty good place to get the low down on things from those directly involved. This was posted several days ago from someone involved with a PAC in Vermont. Take it as you wish:

Reading through other audition posts, I am impressed by the enthusiastic thumbs up that parents give to Nora Brennan, who seems to be truly gifted in finding the kids and making their experience at an open call both pleasant and fun - and safe.

Re: Casting Call
We've had the child casting calls noted earlier in this thread -- and now here's a call slated for late February for adult ensemble:

We've had child casting calls and adult ensemble calls -- and now.... Equity adult principal auditions for Mrs. Wilkinson, Dad, Tony, Grandma and George:

Re: Casting Call
One cannot be surprised. If a production is slated to end, its cast will begin to look for new roles elsewhere. The shorter SETA contract benefits them, too.

Re: Casting Call
Well BETM has always been inclusive of actors of all shapes and sizes, ethnicities and backgrounds... this may be pushing it a little though.angelenroute wrote:This part seems a bit weird though, don't you think?
