Speaking of Oliver!, here's another production of the Lionel Bart classic, this one by the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey (includes some pictures from Opening Night):

Note: This is the production of Oliver! which features Ethan Haberfield as the Artful Dodger -- about whom a video and other information was recently posted in another thread on this Forum:

Note to Forum Admin or Moderators:
Just a thought....
I'm not sure the posts about these productions of Oliver! are really in the correct category here on the Forum. Neither production is "touring" and certainly they are not international - both being regional productions in the United States.
Perhaps a new category for "Other Regional Productions - non BETM" is in order?

Very good review Jon. This may be a show I will have to take in at some point in the future. I really enjoyed how you set the tone and gave us a feeling of the atmosphere of the venue. I typically don't get away much since my job keeps me working many weekends so I live through you guys that review these shows.
I'd probably be going to the shows solo because of the hours I keep. Are you able to enjoy the shows with friends? I think it enhances the experience when you are with friends and family. Keep up the good work and look forward to hearing about the BETM London experiences from you and the others when you go.

Here is a nice two year old Youtube video featuring Phineas Peters, a 10 year old Providence boy who will play Oliver, with Noah Parets as The Artful Dodger, at the Trinity Rep in Providence RI, Feb 20th - March 30th.

RI Monthly magazine has published five reasons why Oliver! at Trinity Rep shouldn't be missed:
