Here's an excellent review of the Press Night performance of Matthew Bourne's production from Whatsonstage:

Here's another fabulous review:

Another positive one from the Telegraph:

And yet another from the Guardian:

I am so sad that I am apparently not going to get to see this show because the tour doesn't last until May, when I will be in London.

Debra Craine gave it a five star review in The Times yesterday. She writes 'The production is still mime heavy, and Edward gets short shrift on the choreographic front, but at its best, such as in the sparkling ensemble ballet at the Christmas Ball or in Edward's dream-like duet with Kim, the dance is glorified by a surge of infectious joy.'

I went to the matinee at Sadlers Wells last Saturday. Liam Mower danced as Edward and I was pleased to meet him afterwards. I had no prior experience of the film or the story so it was a totally fresh experience for me. I found the whole experience totally awesome and utterly magical. Liam was superb and his moving performance resulted in a thoroughly deserved standing ovation from a full house. Not also is Liam an amazing dancer but his acting as the puppet Edward was superlative. I just cannot get over how my first Billy in 2005 has transformed into such a wonderful performer. Roll on the Alhambra in Bradford in February. I cannot wait to see this amazing show again. The critical plaudits it has received are absolutely deserved!

I have booked to see it at Norwich when it is on tour there from 3rd - 7th February. Hope Liam will be in it.
