Hangmen

Post by tzwicky »

I will be front and a bit off center for this show on December 8th.

It's one of those rare times when I schedule a show other than BETM on a night when BETM is going on. Now that the Billy Board at the VPT has been moved, I won't even be tempted to take a gander at it that afternoon and be upset.

I figure since I've been dealing with Geordie accents for 10 years, I can deal with those in this play.

Hangmen

Post by tzwicky »

Wyndham's Theatre, Charing Cross Road, London, WC2H 0DA

"Olivier and Academy Award winner Martin McDonagh is back in the West End with his deeply funny and savagely dark new play Hangmen.
What's the second-best hangman in England to do on the day they've abolished hanging? In his small pub in Oldham, Harry is something of a local celebrity. But amongst the reporters and pub regulars waiting for his reaction to the news, his old assistant Syd and the peculiar Mooney lurk with very different motives.
Following a sold out run at the Royal Court Theatre, don't miss this strictly limited season of "the funniest and most entertaining play in London right now" (Time Out)."
