Musical theater holding auditions

CRANBERRY TWP — Keystone State Music Theater is hosting auditions from 4 to 8 p.m. June 3 for the upcoming production of “Billy Elliot.”

It is looking for actors and actresses ages 10 to 60 to be in the show. Auditions will be held at the KSMT Academy at the Regional Learning Alliance, 850 Cranberry Wood Drive. Callbacks will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. June 4.

Rehearsals for the show begin July 24 for youth and July 30 for adults, and the performances are Aug. 11, 12, 13, 16, 17 and 18. The performances will be held at the Rotary Amphitheater in Cranberry Community Park.

I believe this may be the second time BETM has been performed at an outdoor theatre - the first being at The Muny in 2014.
