Civic Theatre decided to open its 2018-19 season in its newly renovated 19th Street Theatre with the Tony-winning “Billy Elliot: The Musical.” But that didn’t mean it had someone ready to play the boy who wanted to be a dancer.

Now, Civic has found its Billy Elliot — Parker James Fullmore.

Great timing for a visit to Allentown for Billy Elliot The Musical. Allentown is just south of the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, which has some of the most spectacular fall colors in the country.
So if you’re tired of heat, humidity and hurricanes, fly or drive to Allentown in mid-October for a great presentation of BETM. A one or two hour drive from the theater will give you dry, crisp air with an invigorating break and the color display of over a hundred different species of trees that is unmatched anywhere in the country.

Anyone gonna be in Allentown on Oct. 27 & 28?

I am considering attending the final shows on October 27 & 28.

Thought I could resist the transcontinental booking, but it's been so long since my last BillyFix.

The extra drama of final shows is a draw as well. I might even track down some fall foliage while I'm there.

Anyone else gonna be in Allentown?

Oh for Ghod's sake!

Oh for Ghod's sake! Just last night I made all my flight and hotel and rental car reservations to see the Billy Elliot production in Allentown, PA. I turn on the news tonight and (in case you live under a rock and ain't heard) some sort of car bomb or bomb in a car has killed three people and rocked the hell out of a neighborhood in ALLENTOWN.

Wondering who else is going to be there on the closing weekend (Oct. 27 & 28)?
