3 boys has been cast as billy in the Icelandic production.
Since May have been on samples starring musical Billy Elliot the Municipal Theater sets the stage in March. Nine hundred boys attended the first trial, and six of them were invited to take part in Billy schools that lasted all summer or ten weeks. At school, the boys learned ballet, jazz dance, steppe, modern dance, drama, singing and gymnastics.

On Sunday, three boys were then selected to share the role of Billy. One of them is Solvi Viggósson , he began to study dance at Anna Berglind elementary school in Þorlákshöfn. Anna Berglind encouraged him to practice samkvæmisdans and has for the past four years, practiced dance, first in Reykjavik Dansskóli Jon Peters and then in choirs and dance sports club of. Another boy walked away with the part, it is Baldvin Alan Thorarensen, but he and Solvi first met the Regional Contest big upplestrarkeppninnar where Ringsted won the race distinction. The third boy who plays the role of Billy is Hjörtur Vidar sigurdarson

It will be interesting to see the boys on the big field Reykjavík City in the spring, but until that time will be hard training in dance and gymnastics since the role requires superior dance and acrobatic skills. In Leikskrá says about drama, "Billy Elliot is þroskasaga young people and the adults - an amazing and beautiful story about a boy's struggle with the prejudices of society and the family to get to be the person he is. This is a powerful work about real people with bulletproof and catchy music by Elton John, magnificent bearings hópdansatriðum and incredibly talented boy starring that will get the audience to gape in wonder. "

I just revised the translation of the above article to make it more comfortable to read:
(yet still to be super revised by a native speaker  )

Þorlákshafnarbúi með aðalhlutverk í Billy Elliot

Þorláks harbour estate citizen to play in Billy Elliot

(Þorlákshöfn is a place southeast from Reykjavík)
edit : or maybe rather : Þorláks harbour village to participate in BE.

Since may auditions are held for the City Theatre's staging of the musical Billy Elliot next march.

Nine hundred boys attended the first audition, and six of them were invited to take part in a 'Billy-school' that lasted all summer or say ten weeks.

At the school, the boys learned ballet, jazz dance, tap, modern dance, drama, singing and gymnastics.

Last Sunday, three boys were then selected to share the role of Billy.

One of them is from Þorlákshöfn. His name is Sölvi Viggósson Dýrfjörð. He began to study dance with Önnu Berglindi Júlísdóttur (That's a name: Anna Berglind Daughter of Julius) in elementary school in Þorlákshöfn.

Anna Berglind encouraged him to practice Ballroom dance. He practiced dance for the past four years, first in Reykjavik at the Danceschool 'Jon Peters' and then in groups and last at the dance sports club of Hafnarfjarðar.(Town south of Reykjavík)

Another Boy from Suðurland (I assume a district of iceland called Southland) , who got the role, is Baldvin Alan Thorarensen from Hveragerði (village 20mi east south east of Reykjavík). Him and Sölvi met each other at the final evaluation of a regional contest first when Baldvin considerably won the competition head and shoulders above the rest.

The third boy to play the role of Billy is from Kópavogur (South Reykjavík). His name is Hjörtur Viðar Sigurðarson.

It will be enthralling to see the boys on the big stage of the Reykjavík City Theatre next spring, but until that time there will be hard training in dance and gymnastics since the role requires superior dance and acrobatic skills.

The programme says about the play:" Billy Elliot is a coming of age story for adolescent but also adult people - an amazing and beautiful story about the battle of a boy against prejudices of society and family to get to be the person he is.
This is a powerful work about real people with bulletproof and catchy music by Elton John, magnificent actors, studded with dance routines and incredibly talented boys starring in the title role who will get the audience to gape in wonder. "

 The icelandic is an old language, the sentence structure is a little weird  Sentences often seem to lack words in order to make any sense or maybe there is somthing more to learn about their grammar :?:
I'm gonna buy me a little book from the german 'Reise know how' Verlag: Icelandic word by word - will see if it helps. 8-)

If I get a little time, I will take the English google translation and "translate" it. After reading many bad student essays in my time, I think I can probably manage to figure out the meaning of most of it and turn it into a reasonable approximation of what was said.

The camera was probably right there in front of them, so I imagine it was just difficult for them doing the jump while moving forward toward the camera. ;)
