Here a couple of promotional videos of the Billys of the Village Theatre production appearing on a local TV station this morning:

I am once again attempting to run the cast of Billys in a regional production of BETM.

Going to a venue where 4 Billys technically (fingers crossed) might be seen in a single weekend makes it an attractive choice for fun and travel and "supporting the arts."

This scheme didn't quite work in Plymouth when I was last in Britain.

But I'm hoping I'll strike it rich in Everett, Washington, on July 9th and 10th.

Oddly enough, I've never been north of California on the West Coast (I've always had this aversion to vacationing where volcanos disguised as mountains can be found) but since my geological fears have abated (living in LA does that) I'm finally headed there to jam 4 new Billys into my life experience.

So, 4 Billys, one mammoth Boeing Tour and a short hop from Burbank to SeaTac and I'm in the thick of it all.

Pacific Northwest here I come.

The music sounds really good and the staging looks very professional. Hopefully, though, Billy is actually a bit angrier in "Angry Dance" than he appeared to be in this clip.

This appears to be the first article about the show, prior to its first performance in Everett this evening:

The Village Theatre’s 2015-16 slate of productions earned 10 Gregory Award nominations.

The awards honor outstanding theater in the Puget Sound region. The theater’s “My Fair Lady,” “My Heart is the Drum” and “Billy Elliot” all received nominations.

Finally, “Billy Elliot” actors Bryan Kinder and Quinn Liebling were nominated together in the outstanding supporting actor category.
