Re: Nicholas Dantes - Billy
This article is spot on. Nic is exceptionally talented AND exceptionally modest and grounded. If any venue is casting a regional BETM run anytime soon, they should discover Nicholas Dantes. Fast. There are not many others as good as he is out there right now!
And the same goes for Kyle Halford. Both boys have had the same training and the same grounding from wonderful teachers and, of course, their parents.
And, though this is veering off-topic, the same goes for Michael Harp (Michael). He is simply one of the best to have ever played that role.
By the way, the top photo is the entrance to the theatre. It is actually indoors, inside the complex; the restaurant is behind the camera.

The Kennedy Center has something like this too. Very nice!kport wrote:By the way, the top photo is the entrance to the theatre. It is actually indoors, inside the complex; the restaurant is behind the camera.

Agreed with kport. That's a nice article, and Nic is an exceptional talent. I hope very much that another BETM production scoops him up.

Here is a short video of Nic rehearsing, posted on his dad's Instagram. Even without music, any seasoned BETM fan should recognize which number this is.

Re: Nicholas Dantes - Billy: Drury Lane/ North Shore
It looks as though Dream Ballet is returning to the familiar choreography, after some innovative new interpretations at Drury Lane and Patchogue.
I heard (from a little birdie ) that North Shore has hired the Ogunquit set. A set that freely moves could be quite exciting on a stage 'in the round'.
Update to this post (Oct.1): the Ogunquit set is not being used, but props from the set are. Several set items (the kitchen, the bedroom and the toilet) have been built especially for NSMT to accommodate the narrow passages (the VOM for the bedroom and toilet, in the case of the kitchen, a narrow side ramp). Items such as the iconc red suitcase, Michael's bicycle, the chairs) and most of the costumes are from Ogunquit.
