Re: Finding Neverland
Tonight was the final performance for Sawyer Nunes per this tweet from co-star Carolee Carmello:

The show has wasted no time in removing him from the cast web page.

Sawyer is an extremely talented young actor, as anyone who has seen him in Matilda or Finding Neverland can attest. I'm looking forward to what comes next for him.
In other casting news, Kelsey Grammer is on leave for the summer and is being replaced by Anthony Warlow.

Re: Finding Neverland
Glad I saw the show when I did, with all the original cast. Surprised that they're making cast changes so soon into their Broadway run. Sawyer Nunes is indeed very talented, as he looked like an old pro in his singing, acting, and playing the ukelele. In the second of the two performances I saw, Jackson Demott Hill played the part of George and was very good as well. He's supposed to be the oldest of the brothers, but there wasn't an obvious age difference between him and the next two oldest brothers like there was when Sawyer performed. I thought the age difference helped in a scene where George stands up to his domineering Grandmother. It's more obvious at that point that he's taking the lead as the oldest sibling and speaking on behalf of the family.
Strange that Kelsey Grammer is taking the summer off . . . like, he needs a vacation already ? Wonder if they're going to catch some flack from people who had already booked tickets to see the show during the next couple of months with the anticipation of seeing him in it ?

Re: Finding Neverland
When I watched the Tony Awards last month, I noticed that "Finding Neverland" was never mentioned in any of the nominations. I just assumed that it opened too late to receive nominations for 2015 and that it would surely turn up big in next year's awards.
Doing further research on line, I recently discovered that it was indeed eligible this year but received nary a single nomination, which I find pretty much unbelievable. While it's a little embarrassing to admit that I'm just now finding out about all this, I have to say that it's even more embarrassing for the people in charge of Tony Award nominations (for starters, I'd like to ask them what they thought made "Fun Home" a better musical than this one). How they could find nothing in the show worthy of a nomination in any acting, music or production category is beyond me - and is enough to make conspiracy theorists wonder if the show was blackballed for some unknown reason.

Re: Finding Neverland
There are plenty of articles online that discuss the (possible) reasons for this (one is linked below), but I would point out that Tonys can be awarded anytime, and I would not rule out a chance for FN in the future.

Re: Finding Neverland
This is a good article about Anthony Warlow, who is "temporarily" filling in for Kelsey Grammer as Charles Frohman/Captain Hook, and how he very quickly prepared for the role. I saw him in the show two weeks ago and thought he was quite good.

Re: Finding Neverland
The second of the original cast of Llewelyn Davies boys leaves tonight. Aidan Gemme plays his final performance per this Instagram post co-star Carolee Carmello. I was very moved by his performance both times I saw the show. Happy trails Aidan!

Re: Finding Neverland
Here is a reminder of the very talented original cast of Finding Neverland, in a video posted several weeks ago by Playbill:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjH7y8cAHbUHayden Signoretti, Sawyer Nunes, Jackson Demott Hill, Alex Dreier, Noah Hinsdale, Christopher Paul Richards and Aidan Gemme are the seven young actors that play the four Llewelyn Davies boys in "Finding Neverland." They met up with Playbill at world-famous Sardi's Restaurant to perform "We're All Made of Stars," the signature tune that shows off their voices — and ukulele skills!
