Jamie makes his debut tonight, per his mom's public Facebook post. Here is his program bio, in which he thanks Thommie Retter, among others. Knock em dead Jamie!

Re: Jamie Mann - Billy: Maltz Jupiter
It is an amazing experience to be able to watch Jamie's growth over his first three performances. His confidence is such that he is able to try little nuances untested before: one of my favorites is the way he sounds out 'What about that Ru..do...lf Nu...rey.....ev....' soto voce, as though struggling to remember a name he had heard. His 'response' to Debbie's 'question' is also unique. His dancing is very solid, and his singing is very beautiful. But above all it is his acting which is winning over every audience. I sat last night among a section of the audience who were blubbing in tears during Jamie's Letter.........and in his final scene with Dead Mum.
There was a magical moment for me at Saturday's matinee, involving the mirror scene in Dream Ballet. My seat was situated in such a way that I could see Jamie face on, and his reflection directly behind him in the mirror - his face toward me and his back reflected in the mirror. When the spot shone on Older Billy, behind the mirror, Jamie's reflection appeared superimposed upon OB's back, and for the remainder it remained thus, with both Billys appearing as one as they move. I suspect only a few seats caught this apparition, but it is one that Stephen Daldry should consider for his film version: it magically reveals that Billy and his older self are dancing as one, until they leave behind the mirror and enter into a terpsichorean dialogue that is stunning, beyond words.

The use of the mirror in this scene was absolutely brilliant!

Goodness ! Quite a big and mature voice for someone his age. He could have a singing career if he decides to go that route.

Jamie's mom posted this ten minute video with a compilation of clips from his rehearsals. We see portions of Dream Ballet, Angry Dance, Take Me Up, The Letter, and the tutu scene. Being in a dance studio instead of on stage, things look unpolished. Still his great personality shines through. I especially like how he reacts to Michael's overtures in the last two minutes.

I think I know where that Billy Bag came from . It looks a bit scrumpled, as though it has been to over 100 shows across the US, and the VPT!
Great to hear clear, loud tapping in Angry Dance.
Honestly, I hope Jamie continues to find roles as Billy. His time at the Maltz was too short, and he has worked so hard for this.
