Since I guess a lot of people who don't speak a single word of Dutch will go to see the show, I made a little useful guide you can use to understand the show better and to get around in The Netherlands.
If I made a mistake, please feel free to correct me. Same goes for suggestions, of you think a certain word should be in the vocabulary list or a certain verb should be in the verbs list, please feel free to tell me!
You can download the guide here, I'll try to update it as much and as quick as possible: http://www.mediafire.com/view/kevkdziz3 ... +Guide.pdf

Grandma (Oma) is only referred as opoe ( pronounced opoo).

Re: A Basic Guide to Understanding Dutch
Thanks a lot, Zweaplight! This is very useful.
Now I'm prepared to watch the show
Just one question regarding to the verb "hebben". Are the 2nd and 3rd plural forms really "zijn"? I would have thought it would be "hebben", since the plural forms were always the same for the other verbs...Probably just a typo Anyway, thanks a lot for your effort, it's very much appreciated.

Yeah, that's actually wrong, I changed it and uploaded a new version!
If you need to know anything else about the Dutch language, I'll be happy to help you.

One word I heard a few times was 'hoefter' (sp?)
I'm assuming it's a swear word - can you transate?!

Re: A Basic Guide to Understanding Dutch
Hufter! That basically means 'b*st*rd' or '***hole'.

Opa should be translated as Grandpa.
