Shine Question

Post by cainmac »

Okay, been wondering this for a bit.

Is this a new version of "Shine" in the London production?

Please watch this clip to answer the question:

Thanks.

No it's a promo clip made years ago when Sally Dexter was Mrs Wilkinson, Colin Bates as Billy and Paul Broughton asd George. Just uses vocals from Shine, possibly not even Sally's.

Thanks to both of you.

You're right, it is "Solidarity". The different version of "Shine" seems to be blended with it, maybe just for the purpose of the trailer? I haven't heard in in the regular "Solidarity". But, I like it!

I'll listen closely at Saturday night's show...making the pilgrimage from Florida again. I know I don't compare to the forum superstars, but this'll be the 4th Broadway show for me (plus 3 in Chicago and 2 more booked in Tampa next month).

Again, thanks. Love this forum!!!

Mrs. Wilkinson always does the "Shine" counterpoint in "Solidarity," bringing together even more the idea of the ballet class and the riots going on simultaneously.

Thanks, Ellen. There is so much activity in Solidarity, I guess I have always missed it. But, you can bet I won't miss it on Saturday.
