That makes me think, I remember wondering if it was difficult for the Billys to dance like beginners during Shine and Solidarity, when the character is still finding his feet.kport wrote:A ballet teacher, who came to see BETM at Ogunquit, told me how impressed she was by the 'bad' dancing of the ballet girls - how difficult it is for a trained dancer to dance badly!CJ-Rochester wrote:Something tells me this class of ballet girls could have used far more than seven and a half months to rehearse this.

From "Forbidden Broadway", here is a fun spoof based on Matilda's "Revolting Children" about the way shows such as Matilda, Billy Elliot, Les Mis, and others exploit their talented young child stars.

The John Lewis Christmas advert is THE mark of the start of the Christmas season in the UK. It is a big deal.

I am a sucker for good ads; the ones from the UK are generally far more interesting and creative than those from the States, but here is one that I think makes a point, and creates an impression, with only nine words. And dance is involved!
A rather touching ad from, of all things, my local cable company, showing the power of dance:
