Here's an article about the auditions planned for the Spanish production of the show. It's in Spanish, so you'll need to Google translate if you don't speak that language.

This popped up today:

Music fans are in luck ... and that another blockbuster is about the Spanish tables !
I talked about Billy Elliot the Musical , which will arrive in Madrid next year!
The production will be borne by those responsible for the Spanish version of Priscilla and the latest version of Cabaret ... both , especially the former , musical outstanding ! So we assume that adaptation is not be less! ; D
And more with the potential must not forget that Billy Elliot the Musical features music by Elton John and has won over 80 international awards , including five Oliviers and ten Tonys . It is also not negligible that in London take 11 years to sign ... that's na! ; D
Currently there is no definitive release date , are now with the casting , so hopefully ready in spring 2017 ! What a win!

This video portrays some of the boys who auditioned for the role of Billy. It's in Spanish and shows some of their dance moves.

*Though traditionally cast more often by men mid-30s to mid-40s whose levels of anger can rise so loudly the audience doesn't think too much about the fact that they seem closer in age to Billy's dad instead of to him. :D

Casting of the adult roles has been announced: https://www.billyelliot.es/elenco/

NATALIA MILLÁN - Señorita Wilkinson
CARLOS HIPÓLITO - Padre (Dad)
ADRIÁN LASTRA - Tony
MAMEN GARCÍA - Abuela (Grandma)

JUAN CARLOS MARTÍN - George / Alternante Padre
ALBERTO VELASCO - Señor Braithwaite
NOEMÍ GALLEGO - Madre (Mum)
AXEL AMORES - Billy Adulto

I'm no expert in Spanish, but I'm pretty sure I know enough that Señorita Wilkinson should be a Señora.

In the above link, there are several boys names listed under Escuela Billy Elliot. These are the boys in Billy School who are candidates for the role. From other videos I've seen, it appears they haven't made their selections yet.

Today the cast of BILLY ELLIOT EL MUSICAL has been presented and will be released on October 5th at the Nuevo Teatro Alcalá. The students of BILY ELLIOT School have offered a sample of what they have done so far and an advance of what we can see in that same scenario. More information at http://www.broadwayworld.com.
