On the same website it states and I quote:

Billy Elliot opens at West End’s Victoria Theatre on 11 May 2004 (following staggered previews from 24 March).

Looks like we celebrated the wrong birthday in May this year. :D

Regarding "WhatsOnStage":
No further misinformation in the main text on that page informing on ""20th Century Boy", as they obviously got it right
with the other "George Maguire" there - that a bit older British actor with same name, (who as member of Equity is the
only one btw to use that name legaly in the performing arts - as far as I got it) - and who was the actor in all those
productions mentioned:
George Maguire leads an 11-strong cast as Bolan. Maguire's previous stage credits include Fame at the Shaftesbury
Theatre, Bank at the King’s Head, Rent on European tour, Tonight’s the Night, The Gate Escape and Sixteen on tour,
Quadrophenia at the Nuffield Theatre and Oliver at the London Palladium.
http://www.whatsonstage.com/news/theatr ... t+End.html
Just when you click on that Name "George Maguire" on that page, the link goes to a page where they mixed the major
events / career stations of both "George Maguires" just in one column - And when "RENT" went on European tour with
a certain actor George Maguire (the other one), there had been a similar confusion already.
A bit more carefull research would be expected - at least by such a renowned performing arts online newspaper! :( ;)
“It is a great show that people do come and see. Because it's not
just a show for adults, or just for children, or just for people that
like theatre, I'd say for everyone, and it's got so much emotion
behind it. Because who ever comes and sees it, feels the story -
so I think: it's brilliant!" (GM)

Young actress, dancer & singer Carrie Hope Fletcher, who btw just did the Mascot song of the 2012 London Olympics together with her older brother Tom Fletcher (McFly rock band member), posted a nice pic of her and George Maguire just a few weeks ago on her open web-site:

(And here are Carrie and Tom performing the London 2012 Mascot song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLc0fC6ra7E )

A few more brand-actual pics of George Maguire - from the totally open web-site of the young actress, singer and dancer Carrie Hope Fletcher.
And although George will be 21 by the end of next week, he’s – quote my nice granddaughter – “..still looking gorgeous, isn’t he!” :D ;)

And still the Jolly Joker a bit: :D

source now: http://carriehopefletcher.com/page/64
(Scroll a bit down - and they might be more further down in a few days, then try the pages that follow under "next".)

Btw: As said in my last thread above, Carrie and her bro Tom (McFly) are doing the Official London Olympics 2012 Mascots’ song together.
(Edited - so the pics should work now.)

Here is just a bit of “news” from Original London Billy George:
There is a new video by the young British actress, singer and dancer Carrie Hope Fletcher on YouTube, where she has put together a few short clips from the last two years - and from 2:07 on George is seen in this one together with her and with that rock singer and song writer Antony Brant from the former British boy-band "V" - and then with her brother Tom Fletcher from the British band McFly as well - and near the end George shows just a bit that he still could dance…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIj8EiWGr50

They had all been invited together to Los Angeles and New York by Universal Studios already in 2010 btw - so here is another one with George and them from New York:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fa-W1DWj-V0
(Quite amazing at 1:55 George as a tourist on Broadway under his own pic of the advertising for BETM - that was then still on..)
