Deanfan5 wrote:Great to see Ollie back on stage Saturday matinee after being taken unwell the previous Wednesday when he was repalced by Elliott. Ollie's acting, line delivery and singing are very good and his Letter is very moving with bags of emotion. He is such a genuine Bily whose personality really gells with the audience as he conveys it so well.
I agree Deanfan5.... I also really enjoy Ollie's interpretation of Billy. With the other Billys that I have seen I can point towards what I liked about their performance. I loved Mitchell's amazing dancing, and Elliot's all round ability, and his more cheeky rendition of Billy. However, I could not really put my finger on why I was so touched by Ollies display when I saw him, but I think your right when you say he comes across as a "geniune Billy." Maybe that's his own personality coming through, or it might just be his acting skills, I don't know? Another member (I think it might have been Patc) said that he overheard some audience members saying that they just wanted to get up and give him a hug. Watching Ollie myself, I did find my maternal instincts coming to the fore, and felt the same way.

Ollie will perform his last show as Billy tonight. He's been a brilliant Billy and I will be sad to see him go.
