Leon Cooke

Post by Muppet »

To the lad I saw perform as Billy more than any other...

LEON COOKE

Thank you Leon for 19 fantastic shows!
(3/6/06 - 23/6/07)

You were always so consistent, so convincing and so committed.

One of the best dancers ever to perform on the West End stage!

I'm not sure this is a good idea me pointing this out, but between the three of us we have seen Leon 53 times!!

I wonder who the top ten people are who have seen Leon the most? LOL

I can think of at least 2 people who may be able to beat our totals!

Come on guys - confess, who has seen Leon even more times than us? :D

He was a GREAT Billy!

I can admit to only 9 times for Leon.

But I still think he's my most-seen Billy as I've seen quite a few of them.

Even though I've heard the OCR a zillion times and should rightly be stamped permanently with Liam's voice, the voice I hear singing the show (in my head) is most often Leon. A really distinct voice that persisted through all those 9 shows.

I adored Leon Cooke's Billy. So far, he has been the only Billy that I have been privileged to see progress in the role over time from being a relatively new Billy up until shortly before his official Last Night. Not living near enough to London to see the show on a regular basis, this was unique for me, and in large part it was due to the very long run that Leon had in the role, so that I was able to see him over the course of several trips. The only other Billy that I came close to having this experience with was Layton, another Billy with a very long run.

Leon is also my most seen Billy (10 times) from his third show way back in September 2005 to his 200th and final performance. Actually, now I come to think of it, I saw Layton 10 times as well!

I have now arranged my travel for the weekend of 11th July...and I hope I get to see you Leon in your Millenium Dance 2000 summer show once again. It was awesome last year.
