Liam is currently playing Count Lilac in Sleeping Beauty at Sadlers Wells. This role has more balletic dancing than Carabosse / Caradoc which he also plays in some performances. Count Lilac is Matthew Bourne’s version of the Lilac Fairy which is given a dark twist as the name suggests. The choreography is delightful and Liam was brilliant.
I felt that the production had improved since Plymouth with more pace and attack. Talking to Liam afterwards on Sunday I gathered that the cast have had an intensive period of rehearsal. He is thoroughly enjoying his time with the Company and very much looking forward to their tour of Asia next summer. Interestingly he is still in touch with Billy Elliot the Musical at the Victoria Palace and he described Nat Sweeney’s dancing as ‘amazing.’
Sunday was Gala day at Sadlers Wells with a good turnout of A list stars from the entertainment world, many of whom brought their children. This Sleeping Beauty is a great show for children ………………………….and a great showcase for Liam.
Go see.

Correct.
I am moving this conversation to Liam's thread, as a new thread for this simple question does not make sense.
