Joseph Harrington
This NY Times video, posted by porshesrule in Broadway Publicity, names Joseph as having been chosen on June 10 to play Billy.

Just a note: The video does not make it clear which production Joseph will be joining, but when we find out, if his thread needs to be moved, that can easily be taken care of.
Congratulations, Joseph!

Re: Joseph Harrington
According to this information on the Cincinnati Ballet website, Joseph, who studied at the Ballet's Otto M. Budig Academy, will indeed be performing as Billy on Broadway in the Fall.

Re: Joseph Harrington
That is an excellent article Ellen. It highlights something so very remarkable about this show, a multi-year process to recruit and train boys who will perform the role for less than a year on average.
He was originally scouted on the web, from a video at a dance competition, more than three years ago, even before the show opened on Broadway. ... that fits the average timeline of more than two years, from first look to the final decision of which youngsters will make the cut and star in the show.

Re: Joseph Harrington
I believe you'd characterize Tommy Batchelor as blond, wouldn't you? Not sure if Michael Dameski's hair would be considered blond or just a very light brown.Todd wrote:I think he's the first blond Billy on Broadway isn't he ?
