He did the same thing last year in Maine. It is not a public , ticketed event so far as I can tell. I expect it is by invitation.

That video actually is a few years old, I believe. I have seen it several times, but it's nice to see that he has posted it again.

I thought perhaps we had seen it before, but since Youtube says Published on Oct 12, 2013 I figured it was worth posting.

For the third year in a row Thommie is producing/directing The Big Maine Event in Portland, Maine as a fundraiser for the Portland Playhouse. This year's event takes place on Saturday July 12.

Previous Big Maine Event casts have included BETM alums. This year's cast includes these familiar names: Tommy Batchelor, Brianna Fragomeni, Annabelle Kempf, Trent Kowalik, Kara Oates.

Thommie Retter, original Broadway cast member of Billy Elliot The Musical and Retter Entertainment provides unique opportunities for aspiring young performers through This Way To Broadway, a series of workshops culminating in showcase opportunities, including singing, acting, and dancing.
Quite a few former BETM cast members are involved.
