Hardly worth dignifying that article with a response. Celebrity couples break up at a much higher rate than the rest of us. The reason for their split shouldn't matter. His career hardly seems to be faltering.

I didn't realize Jamie lived with Stephen Daldry for a time. I guess learning that tidbit made the article worth the read. ;)

There was a video (which might even be a supplement to the DVD of Billy Elliot), called "Billy Elliot Boy" or something like that, which documented Jamie's life after the film. The video covers his post-film relationship with Stephen Daldry. So yes, that part of the article is true; however, much of what is in this "analysis" is incredibly intrusive at worst, and speculative at best. But mostly I see it as pointless tripe that falls into the tabloid gossip category. Unfortunately, that kind of coverage is inescapable for celebrities in today's society.

Those of us who know the Daily Mail could describe it as the offspring of National Enquirer and the worst excesses of Fox News.

Let me put it in its historical place: The Daily Mail, under its owner Lord Rothermere in the 1930s, had a special relationship with a certain jack booted Italian leader, and a silly man in Germany with a Charlie Chaplin mustache.

I would not give this article any credence whatsoever. It is designed to appeal to the lowest standards of its 'base'.

Could you supply a link to that video?

I didn't expect to be able to find it, frankly, but here's a link to a clip:

And here's a link to a service that supposedly will stream the whole documentary, but you must create a free account:

And here's the IMDB listing for it:

There was a special edition video of BILLY ELLIOT ( wards were in blue instead of red), which had BILLY ELLIOT BOY at the end of the film, this was a copy of a programme on BBC1 of that name that was shown in 2002 or there abouts
The number is 9049393 vcf23355 and by universal studios
Also WOOLWORTHS bought out a special edition of Billy Elliot that MAY have this on
I would look around second hand shops if I where you, if you want a copy

Wise words from Jamie, about Emma Watson:
As Jamie Bell, the actor who found fame in the film Billy Elliot, has pointed out, not every child star stumbles under the strain.

“I hate the stereotype of the pitfalls of the child actor. There are so many amazing examples – Natalie Portman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jodie Foster, Drew Barrymore – of people who have made it through,” he once said. The trio at the centre of the Harry Potter franchise – Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint – have, in fact, each fared well. And Harry Melling, now 25, who played Dudley Dursely, is to star next year in the London premiere of a play, Peddling, which he has written and already performed in to acclaim in New York.
Even child actors can achieve great things, if they have the grounding and support every child should have:

According to producer David Heyman, Watson had to be coaxed to make the full run of films instead of study. She scooped eight A*s and two As for her 10 GCSEs and was as studious on set as she was in the makeshift schoolroom set up for all the young actors during shooting, asking Dame Maggie Smith, who played Professor McGonagall, for acting tips. After the Potter films, she chose to study at Brown, the American Ivy League college, explaining it was a way for her to catch up on the broader education she feared she had missed.

Jamie has done quite well, too.

I have registered to attend this event on Tuesday evening. The AMC series, "Turn," starring Jamie Bell as Abe Woodhull, is filmed entirely in Virginia, and has recently been filming here in Williamsburg. I hope I will be able to get a seat!
