I expect that in his bio somewhere it says he has been a bartender at some point in his life.

I like the not-by-name shoutout for Ben Cook in there. I love those books, but I feel like the second book closed the story nicely. I'd rather see more books like that one for variety since there's so much lacking (I guess?) in that department.

Disney will be making a film adaptation of BETTER NATE THAN EVER starting this spring. An open casting call is seeking to fill the key roles of 13-year-olds Nate and Libby.

I see they're changing the book's "ET: the Musical" to "Lilo and Stitch: the Musical". That makes sense in terms of working with a similar Disney property, instead of having to get rights to ET, but since Lilo is a girl, the main plotline of Nate understudying another boy in a lead role is going to take a LOT of work to resolve.

Seems to me it'll be like a BETM movie where Jackie is a choreographer who doesn't want his younger son to take up boxing.... Wonder if we could start a petition drive to change to "Flight of the Navigator"...?
