Was the writer a bona fide professional theatre critic, or a blogger?
Can you provide a link to that review, please, so we can see what you're talking about?

I find that just as often as not, critics know what they're talking about. Even though pieces are usually looked at objectively, there is always a bit of subjectivity, making reviews opinions still.
