No, Spencer's singing in that video was intended to be humorously bad (reminded me a bit of Alfalfa from "The Little Rascals" ! ). He's actually a very good singer, as this video shows:

Just another example of how talented the kids in "Billy Elliot" are, when even those playing the smaller roles such as posh/tall boy are excellent singers, dancers and actors.

I have received permission from Spencer's mother to report that he will be making his Broadway debut this fall in the play "The Winslow Boy" ! It will be presented by the Roundabout Theatre, and he will be playing the title role (a.k.a. Ronnie). The adult leads are Roger Rees and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. The show runs from September 20 - December 8 at the American Airlines Theater, which is on 42nd Street between 7th & 8th Ave. http://www.roundabouttheatre.org/Shows- ... w-Boy.aspx
