How did a Korean version get started?

Is there an explanation anywhere as to how, in particular, a Korean version of the musical came into being? I.O.W. why isn't there a spanish or a japanese or any other language edition?

I can't say, but I would imagine a Korean producer saw the show, and thought it would be a good fit, and went with it. I wish they'd made a cast recording.
I'd also LOVE a spanish cast recording! I adore my Phantom Cast Recording from Mexico!
