Is anyone going to be in London as early as Tuesday May 6th?

That is the day I arrive and it is also my Birthday. Since I am traveling alone I would love to find a Forum member (or members) to have Dinner with me.
Please PM me if you are available and would like to join me.

Sorry, I won't be there until at the weekend but please note there is a Tube Strike on Mon/Tue/Wed of that week, 5/6/7 May.

Here are details of the upcoming tube strike(s). There will be another as well: from the evening of April 28 for 48 hours. There is no mention of disruption to buses. Welcome to London!

I cringed when notified of the Tube strikes...but, also thankful that months ago planned my arrival on the 8th.

No curve balls, or surprises, please!

Which airport are you flying into?

If it's Heathrow, then I would recommend taking the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station, and getting a taxi from there to your hotel. If it's Gatwick, take the Gatwick Express into Victoria Station. Your hotel is close to the station, and you can just walk it if you don't have much luggage.
