Lex has announced that he has received a full scholarship to the Boston Ballet School.
This is a part of Boston Ballet ( where they teach the Ballet), surely one of the most prestigious ballet companies in the nation.
Lex continues his ballet training, it must be really difficult for him to leave southern California for Boston.
Congratulations to Lex, I hope he doesn't lose his passion for Ballet, and I look forward to watching his progress.

He also mentions that he has created a Go Fund Me account and asks for support

Unless I'm missing something earlier in this thread--always possible, but I did look--Lex apparently won the LA YAGP round this year. Youth America Grand Prix shared this picture earlier today, and the caption says, "Photo: Los Angeles 2015 YAGP Grand Prix winner, Lex Ishimoto!

Lex has posted a new video of what appears to be a workshop at the 2014-15 Dance Awards in NYC. He is joined here by another Billy, Julian Elia, from Toronto and NY:

Big fan of Lex here. He's developed his own unique style. So glad to have seen him as Billy once.

Boston Ballet artistic director Mikko Nissinen announced the new roster for Boston Ballet’s second company. Boston Ballet II (also known as BBII) is a two-year program featuring “young, classically trained dancers on the cusp of their professional careers,” and the roster for the 2016–17 season includes the very talented Lex Ishimoto (pictured, who started dancing hip-hop at age 6, toured nationally with “Billy Elliot,” and recently appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”)

Lex just got a standing O on the NYC auditions of So You Think You Can Dance. His performance was an improv.

Hard to believe none of the judges knew who he was, and he didn't mention his BETM experience.
