Here's a nice interview with Faith about playing Ursula in Little Mermaid.

I saw "Little Mermaid" a year ago, in July 2009. Faith was absolutely evil! She is a gifted actress and should make an excellent Mrs W.

Here is an entry from CLog, the blog from Charlotte's Creative Loafing:

It took me a bit to figure out the reference to being "separated at birth from Rebecca Koon." I looked her up, to find that she is a very well respected actress in NC, and indeed around the country, having done tons of theater, tv, and film, but never Broadway.

No, it doesn't make sense to me. The only thing I can think of is that maybe they did a workshop somewhere on the West Coast.

Re: Faith Prince - Mrs. Wilkinson, 2nd National Tour
I just read the article more closely. I have copied and pasted this directly from it:
I'm still not sure the sentence makes sense regarding the "promise to producers," but there is certainly a difference between "saw" and "played," and considering that there has been no West Coast production of the show, I am still mystified by the statement.Prince saw the role of Mrs. Wilkinson in a west coast production of “Billy Elliot: The Musical” with the promise to producers that she would join a national tour. That opportunity presented itself earlier this year.

Here's an interview with Faith Prince from cleveland.com:

My only question about this one is, "Who's Georgia?" Mrs. Wilkinson's first name is Sandra.

Here's a nice new article about Faith:

Sorry, Faith, but I strongly disagree with you on this:

Sorry, Faith, but I strongly disagree with you on this:
Of course there are songs that progress the plot! Would Billy have gotten into the RBS if he hadn't explained in "Electricity" what he felt like to dance? Perhaps, but it reads like a "one last chance" to me, given the fact that he has just gotten into a fight that could have convinced the panel to reject him. Would Mrs. Wilkinson have known what was going on with Billy if he hadn't shared the Letter with her? It's true that some of the songs, like "Solidarity" for instance, establish background, but there is such a mix in the show that I don't think you can say that is the only purpose of the songs in the show."What I love about (the musical) is that it broke the form. The songs do not progress the plot, they are a backdrop to the world we are in," Prince says.

Re: Faith Prince - Mrs. Wilkinson, 2nd National Tour
First, let me say I LOVED Faith in her role as Mrs. W. I saw her 5 times here in Cleveland, and was so impressed with her every performance.
I, too, would have to disagree with her on the point of the songs not driving the plot. Ellen, you gave some good examples. Might I add Once We Were Kings, which takes the miners back to work?
Then there are the songs that you could argue don't really move plot, but reveal character, which I think does tie into the plot. How about Angry Dance, which (without words) totally puts us inside Billy's head, and Expressing Yourself, which gives us a glimpse of Michael's inner workings. Maybe we're just talking semantics here, or maybe she just meant most of her songs didn't advance the plot. I bet if Faith were here she would make some clarification of her comments.
This line in the same article intrigues me though:

I would love to know how she views each Billy actor and how she modifies her performance for each individual. In my 5 shows, I only saw her on stage with Daniel and Lex, and I thought she played both similarly."I go at it a different way with each boy as each of them are so incredibly different. I tend to work that way anyway," Prince says. "So if the tone of one of the boys is to have a quick wit or edginess, I'll play it differently than with someone who is completely innocent."
