Thanks for the news. Jeff Kready is an excellent Tony.

I have seen Jeff as Tony twice. He was awesome. The role will be in good hands. :)

Jeff Kready--Tony, Second National Tour

Post by ERinVA »

Delighted to see Jeff Kready's name listed for Tony. Having seen him play Tony a couple of times in NY, I can say that he is an excellent choice.

Thommie Retter has tweeted that Jeff is leaving the show tonight along with Liam. Jeff has been cast as Tony in the Second National Tour.

Best of luck to Jeff as he moves into another aspect of his journey with Billy. From all I've read, I know this talented guy will be missed by his fellow cast members on Broadway.

I have moved the posts from Jeff's old thread in Current Cast into his new thread for the Second National Tour.

Here's a story on Jeff from a local Charlotte based website to promote the the 2nd Tour's next stop there.

I love Jeff's answer when asked, "Will I see the best Billy when I see the show tonight?" His reply ""That's always a favorite thing for me to answer," he confides, "because I could always say yes. Anybody who comes is going to see the best Billy, because they are all unique and they do bring different things to the table. No matter who you see in the lead role, you'll see something amazing."

Kready estimates that he has worked with about a dozen Billys. Two of them were felled by injuries
I never knew that. Does anyone know who they were and whatever happened to them? Excellent interview.
