It will be fun hearing it done in Norwegian. I reckon most Forum members can identify this song:

Under 'coming to norway' page3 'lola' posted a link(ostlendingen...) with a little video of two girls who auditioned for BETM Norway. They sing Electricity in norwegian. And I suppose they use the actual norwegian lyrics. If I hear right it goes : "helt elektrisk" (all electric) in stead of 'elektrisitet'. The words, as the translation program spills them won't go with the music. The same in case BETM would come to Germany the word Elektrizität cannot simply be pressed into the song. The accentuation is different. It simply would sound daft. In Dutch they use a complete different word (bliksem.?.? = thunderbolt). I'm curious about the Norwegian Cast Recording when it comes out.

Kevin opened a charity show in aid of "the Norwegian Refugee Council", on the Norwegian TV channel: "TV2" yesterday. Here is a link. Hopefully it will also work from outside Norway: http://sumo.tv2.no/programmer/underhold ... 09881.html
Be sure to watch from start and the 4-5 first minutes. There is some talking in Norwegian before he comes back around 3:15.

In addition Kevin and Nils Ole Oftebro, who will play Dad in Oslo, visited a talk show "Senkveld med Thomas og Harald" on the same channel on Friday. Unfortunately I have not been able to find any clip of that on the Internet, but there are a few pictures from the show on the production company's facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Scenekvelder including a very short clip from the rehersals: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=68 ... =2&theater

Thanks for the links, trn! The company's facebook page is certainly worth a look! It contains lots of photos and little vidoes of the upcoming Billy production.

(It actually also contains a link to Michael Dameski's most recent dance solo on SYTYCD everybody is talking about :D with this comment (translated):
"We are inspired by this great dancer. What are you inspired by?" Awesome!)

Turn on the cc at the bottom right of the screen and then select English. The translation makes absolutely no sense, but it's interesting. 8-)

These undertitles are generated with a voice recognition engine, that puts in words what the pronounciation sounds like. It never works - unless you speak extra clear and in a certain tempo. And you must choose the origininal language , the text is spoken in. It's not a translator.
The engine obviously does not or cannot check the result for plausability. Fx. Three two- syllable words become one longer word or vice versa if there is found a likness in the database. It obviously is a pure audio but no language recognition. If then you feed google translator with the cc you will get an even more silly result. Hopeless!!!

Scenekvelder's facebook page has some new photos of Kevin in training. The look on his face in the boxing photos reminds me a bit of Dillon Stevens.

The caption translates to:
Hope you still have a nice summer! Here are some pictures from one who has taken a summer training

Here's a nice article about Kevin:

http://www.kulturkompasset.com/2014/08/ ... eteateret/

Billy is in the bag
The role of Billy was already in the box. He was headhunted in October. Kevin Haugan is an experienced guy of 12 years, who has played Klatremus in Hakkebakkeskogen and roles in Oliver Twist and Pippi Longstocking.

- "I am very excited to be on stage" , says Kevin.

Before he decided, he was in London and saw the musical there. And he saw that he could say yes.

- " I knew I was going to be able to learn it " , says Kevin to OSLO CITY / AFTENPOSTEN ..

But it requires a lot of practice. Every day he trains between three and four hours, both with others and alone. For there is much to learn, both different styles like ballet, step, acrobatics and of course singing.

When is it okay for parents driver Bårdar dance institute, so they get seen little to him. Mom Hilde Haugan and dad Freddy Haugan provided with training.

"- He trains at our job, and I have been a ballet dancer, so I can help him" , says mum Hilde Haugan .

One hopes that Elton John will come to Oslo for the premiere.

From everything I've read, it's my understanding that the child labor laws are pretty rigid with regard to how many hours a month a child can spend on stage. Thus the need for the three teams of all child cast member roles --- EXCEPT FOR THE MOST STRENUOUS CHILD ROLE OF ALL -- BILLY!!

What am I missing here? How do they get around the law limitations for Kevin?
