Actually, based on a random check of locations, all the screenings here on the Eastern Seaboard are listed for December 17th at 7 PM.

In Canada we also get it on Dec 12. It's presented "live" but its actually on a time delay because of the time difference. They are also replaying it on Dec 22.

Was good to watch it here this past December! The set and costumes are getting along in years.

Does anyone know if there are any former Billys in this performance ? I know there are some in The English National Ballet (Rhys Yoemans and Cesar Corrales ), but I don't know of any in the Royal Ballet. The amazing duo of Danil Simkins (Russia) and Julian Mackay (american ) are featured in the Royal Ballet .

According to this, the US will see the 2009 recorded broadcast. Can anyone confirm the validity of this?

Dear Natalia,
Due to numerous reasons, including programming restrictions, our US cinema network have decided to screen the recorded 2009 version of The Nutcracker. If you get the chance to see it I do hope you enjoy!
Best wishes,
Sarah

quick note... I first saw Daniil Simkin [ http://www.abt.org/dancers/detail.asp?Dancer_ID=227 ] perform in the ABT Nutcracker 3 or 4 years ago, and he's been on my radar ever since. Such an incredible dancer!

Right you are, Sean.. he is fantastic as is Julian MacKay. Julian is the first American to graduate from the Bolshoi academy in Moscow, he is a native of Montana(of all places ) and moved to Russia at age 11. last year he was a prize winner at prix de lausanne 2015.his younger brother is now in Moscow at Bolshoi as well. I searched the royal Ballet web site looking for a familiar name to no avail. I was hoping to find Scott McKenzie's name, but he is not listed.Scott graduated from RBS last year, but I guess he is not a part of theRoyal Ballet corp.angelenroute wrote:quick note...
