A new production of BETM has been announced for the northern city of Oulu in Finland and they are currently auditioning youth for the production. The scheduled show's opening is in January, 2022.

Tickets are now on sale for the Oulu, Finland production of BETM for performances beginning January 21, 2022 through May 14, 2022. The production may continue beyond that last date should ticket sales warrant it.

All performances at the Oulu Theater have been canceled until 31 January due to the pandemic.

Due to the situation, the premiere of the musical Billy Elliot will be postponed until February 4, 2022, if corona restrictions permit.
