Incredible cast for this show. Barbara Cook, Vanessa Williams and Tom Wopat. Very talented ensemble as well. Only 8 total cast members. Another show at 50% off from TKTS. I have liked the music of Stephen Sondheim that I have heard before. So going into this show I had high hopes and was not disappointed. This is not a true musical. It is a retrospective of Sondheim's life by song and video recordings of Sondheim being interviewed. The show was funny and sad(HE never had any children and came to love someone late in life), One thing that did stick out was a comment at the end that Sondheim made. The shows were his babies and his collaborators his family. The music and the voices were everything I hoped for. Even the ensemble had great B-way back grounds. Studio 54 is a very small intimate theater with comfortable new seating. Looking for another good show to see. Try this one.
