Incredible clip Great Chinese Circus- Swan Lake

Post by andrewcraig »

This was sent to me as part of a long email from someone that knows about my Billy mania.

The incredible feats of this ballerina have to be seen. The girls are so lithe almost fragile.

Dont know where this was videoed or anything else

enjoy

Utterly astounding...!

As if pointe work wasn't already hard enough!

Great find, Andrew.

That is pretty amazing! Interesting that there was a spotter only for the part where she balanced on pointe on her partner's head. 8-)

My name is Ellen. ;) If you watch at the end when she is balanced on her partner's head, there is a man dressed in white standing behind the pair. He is a spotter, and it's his job to catch her if she falls. You often see spotters in circuses when acrobats are doing things like the "three man high," and you also see them used for some of the more dangerous stunts in cheerleading competitions, gymnastic competitions, etc.
