That's why Thommie Retter is currently performing with the tour as Patrick was incapacitated. Apparently whatever ails Patrick will cause a lengthy recovery and therefore the change.

He posted this public message on his Facebook today (says it's shared with the public):

"For anyone who may not know, or if you care to know, I ruptured a tendon in my foot last December which required surgery. Today, I had my final physical therapy session before rejoining "Billy Elliot, the Musical" on tour. After 7 months of rehabilitation (and a roller coaster of emotions!), I'm rejoining the show in Boston."
