The prize of the International Federation of Film Critics, the FIPRESCI – Special Presentations Prize, went to Skin, an international film by Israeli director Guy Nattiv. The judges said, “Skin is a gripping study of a group of extremists and the choices available to them. It’s raw yet intelligently paced, with stunning performances.”

Bernie Taupin has lived a life outside of the spotlight, despite serving as Elton John's lyricist for nearly all of his albums. Rocketman, which stars Jamie Bell as Taupin, may provide a greater insight into the man behind the words.
"It's such an honor to portray someone who did something so magnificent with someone else who's also so glorious," Bell told IMDB at John's 2019 Oscars party. "But it comes with a certain amount of trepidation, as well. This is legacy that we're talking about."

Radio Nova was among a select few invited into London’s Abbey Road Studios to see 20 minutes of Rocketman the forthcoming film about the life and times of the rock superstar Elton John.

Many of the recordings from the film were made in the legendary studios and the film’s musical director is Giles Martin, son of the late Beatles producer George.
