Emily will be playing Mrs. Wilkinson. I may just have to take a trip to see this now.

I wonder what happened to Genevieve? Perhaps she was never officially attached to the production?

According to the Chicago Tribune...
Director Stephen Daldry had previously told the Australian press that Genevieve Lemon, the star of the Melbourne production, would be coming to Chicago in the role.
But when the cast was officially announced, the actress playing that pivotal role was left blank. The show, however, has already started rehearsals in Chicago.

This article on Emily popped up on my Google alerts this morning. It's dated March 15, 2010. I have no idea why it didn't appear on Google earlier (unless maybe China was censoring it

According to TheaterMania, Emily Skinner will replace Kate Hennig as Mrs. Wilkinson in the Broadway production in October:

According to this, Emily will play her final performance in Chicago on September 19. That will give her some time to rehearse with the Broadway cast. I assume she will make her debut as Mrs. W on Broadway on Saturday, October 2.
