- as they had already accepted the new Billy for Chicago, Giuseppe Bausilio, who is from Switzerland. However, US Equity (union) rules restrict the use of "foreign" talent. It is even possible that they had to wait for Haydn to leave before they could bring another non-citizen into the cast

Re: Dayton Tavares
Great news, congrats to Dayton!
“It is a great show that people do come and see. Because it's not
just a show for adults, or just for children, or just for people that
like theatre, I'd say for everyone, and it's got so much emotion
behind it. Because who ever comes and sees it, feels the story -
so I think: it's brilliant!" (GM)

Re: Dayton Tavares
Does anyone else think Dayton Tavares looks a little bit like the 12 year old version of the kid in Slumdog Millionaire? Dayton is a very cute kid!
I'm excited to see him, his dancing looks phenomenal in the videos (anyone see those Michael Jackson Tribute videos? wow!!), and his singing is rich, full, and tuneful...a true TRIPLE THREAT (as was Tanner). Dayton is going places. I'm in awe of that kid and I haven't even seen him perform. YET. haha

Re: Dayton Tavares
I'm so glad that Dayton is returning to Billy.
It must have been a very sad day for all the Aus' Billy's when they took their final bows believing that this was their very last performance in a role they had yet to outgrow. They all see to love it so much so for Dayton to find out he would be able to perform it again must be a dream come true. I cannot even begin to imagine how exciting it must be. And of course daunting as well as he will be heading away from home to big NY. I'm sure he will take everything in his stride and enjoy his return to the show.

Re: Dayton Tavares
At around 3:30 into this they say "seven month journey". It sounds like Dayton's time in NY will be limited.Elin wrote: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKc4pZOMTrc
