Re: BETM San Francisco
I don't know how the payroll works, of course, but I am guessing the cast and crew are contracted to do eight shows per pay period, so the managers want to get the full eight in. Normally, a pay period would be a 6-day week, but I guess they tweak it when necessary to still make up a pay period with eight performances.

Re: San Francisco
Booked my SFO tickets this weekend for Aug/Sept and found the following 'vitrual tour' of the Orpheum theatre useful when trying to gauge what different seats on the seating plan would be like.

After my experiences in Chicago and Minneapolis I've gone for front Orchestra for all three shows this time - as I wasn't nearly as impressed with the 'punch' which the show packed from further back or in the balcony in these much larger theatres. As the orchestra pit at the Orpheum appears to extend from the stage quite a way and the seating curves to follow this, I hope that the first few rows of the centre Orchestra section (before the prices more than double for premium seating in rows E, F and G) will provide a good view.

The BETM Tour opens for its extended run in San Francisco this evening. Break a leg to the cast and crew.

Re: San Francisco
Now I remember that theater. Saw Phantom there almost 20 years ago. Been awhile. Wish I could get down there for BETM.Born to Boogie wrote:Booked my SFO tickets this weekend for Aug/Sept and found the following 'vitrual tour' of the Orpheum theatre useful when trying to gauge what different seats on the seating plan would be like.

Re: San Francisco
During the Chicago engagment there was a very helpful thread that posted the Billys/Michaels as they were announced for each show. How would we go about getting one going for San Francisco? Was it someone in the company or at the theatre in Chicago who did it there?

Here's an interesting article about Wayne Friday, a Security person at the Orpheum Theater in San Francisco:
