Here's the official word:

Myles Erlick and Jack Broderick will join the cast of the Broadway company of the Tony Award-winning Billy Elliot the Musical at the Imperial Theatre in the roles of Billy and Michael, respectively. Current Michael, Neil McCaffrey will play his final performance Sept. 25 at 7:30 PM; current Billy, Giuseppe Bausilio will play his final performance Oct. 9 at 7:30 PM.

Have an awesome final show Neil! I actually saw Neil along the Broadway Cares Flea Market today with Ben and Giuseppe. They were talking to the us (the buyers) about how it was Neil's last show (and that there would be tears!) and how Ben was moving onto the tour. best of luck to Neil in everything!

Yes, quite a few of us have very fond memories of seeing Neil as Michael. He was excellent in the role! :D

Not only was Neil an excellent Michael but, at just over 13 months, he was the longest continuously running Michael in the Broadway production. Well done Neil! :D

Through a series of fortunate events, I was able to help give Neil a GREAT sendoff last night at The Imperial. Will post a review in the September reviews area today or ASAP this week. He will be missed greatly but I'm sure his talents will bring him many more exciting places going forward!
