Re: Armand Schultz: Jackie Elliot, Chicago and Toronto
Armand Schultz, a 1981 graduate of Niagara University playing the role of the Dad in the touring production of Billy Elliot: The Musical, will return to his alma mater on May 2, 2011, with Ryan Kasprzak, the show’s dance captain and a popular former contestant on FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance television series. The duo will attend theatre classes before holding an afternoon question-and-answer session with students during their day off from the 10-time Tony Award-winning musical, which is on tour in Toronto through Sept. 3

Re: Armand Schultz: Jackie Elliot, Chicago and Toronto
Tonight will be Armand's final performance as Dad in Toronto. I wish him all the best for whatever comes next. We know that Patrick Mulvey is headed to Broadway, but nothing has been announced for Armand. I am crossing my fingers to see his name show up as Broadway's next Jackie Elliot when Greg Jbara completes his run in September.

Ditto Ellen! I think Armand's portrayal of dad is more low key than Greg's, but I think it will work very nicely on Broadway, as the Imperial theatre is a bit smaller and more intimate.ERinVA wrote:I am crossing my fingers to see his name show up as Broadway's next Jackie Elliot when Greg Jbara completes his run in September.

Re: Armand Schultz: Jackie Elliot, Chicago and Toronto
Looks like Armand will reprise his role of Dad in Ogunquit this summer, three years after leaving the Toronto production.

This is great news! I recall Armand got off to a slow start in Chicago/Toronto, but after a while I grew to appreciate the depth of emotion he brought to Dad.

I loved Armand Schultz as Jackie. This makes me very, very happy for the Ogunquit production. It might almost tempt me to travel to Maine.
