By May 15, I'll be lounging around waiting to graduate! I was going to try to catch Joseph, having seen all the great press he's got around here recently, but it looks like I might have to head downtown on the fifteenth in the hopes of catching Tade's first show— my first first show. Do you suppose the people in the box office at the Imperial will give me a discounted ticket if I tell them I'm about to earn a degree that will all but guarantee poverty for the rest of my life?

Reminds me of the opening lyrics in "Avenue Q":
What do you do with a B.A in English?...
But seriously, I think they still have student rush tickets. The way I heard it worked a year ago was they are $35 with a student ID, the seats are partial view (which really isn't too bad), and you have to get them they day of the show at the box office.

Now back to talking about Tade.

Thanks for this link andrewcraig. The video in this is well worth watching. Tade looks like a great find and should be another excellent Billy. :D

The article also gives his exact starting date as Sunday May 15th. That will be quite an eventful day with Tade making his debut in one performance, and Alex finishing his run in the other.

Red face department. When I saw the video that seemed to be stock video, I skipped it. Thanks for the comment .Have just been back to have a look. Pleased I did so. He looks a great find.

Planning to be in NY last week june and hope to see him then

I would err on the side of caution here and not take it as gospel that he is starting that day. It may well mean that he is starting as a cast member as it is Alex's leaving date.

I would hate for people to make a special journey to see him only to find that it is another Billy performing - not that you would be disappointed whoever it is. It might be worth waiting a few days to see if any more information becomes available.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed that in the press release that has been the basis for all the articles announcing Tade's imminent debut he is being called "the thirteenth Billy" to perform on Broadway.

Finally, they are recognizing Tanner Pflueger's Broadway appearances, however brief a timeframe that was.

This article states Tade's debut as May 17th (Tuesday) which makes since so as to not overshadow Alex's final show on the 15th.
