THURSDAY MATINEE 30th June

Billy - Ryan, Micheal - Reece, Debbie - Francesca

Just finished my bacon sarny so its time to do my review of Thurdays matinee, its the 2nd time I've seen Ryan, this little guy is a very talented lad, I loved his performance throughout.
It had everthing, so natural, serious, cheeky, lairy, loveable and lively, as most lads are.
The funny things, as usual with me anyway, stood out, the chit chat in the boxing scene, the laughing at Grandma's(Lucinda Collins) antics in Grandma's Song, the distain of being pushed around in Shine, as if "just you wait". The look of pulling one over his dads eyes in Solidarity, a bit of cheek with Tony in the Prize Draw and especially the larking about with Dad when putting his clothes into the suitcase in the Leaving scene.
As for "The Dancing" its been said many times before, so I'm going to say it again, it was "Just Special". The fun and games with Reece in Expressing Yourself, the shear
anger in Angry Dance, the smile and enjoyment of the Dream Ballet with Barnaby, I'm supprised Ryan didn't has a chat in that, and of course such effort in Electricity "Well Done"
We'll one person I'm going to specially mention is Francesca, what a great Debbie she is, I love the way she eyes up Billy from head to toe and thinks I rather fancy him, also how she puts up with that puppet in Merry Christmas Maggie Thatcher, pulling her pigtails, one of these days its going to end up in the audience.
Anyway must go, THANKS AGAIN "ALL"" THE CAST FOR ANOTHER GREAT SHOW

For anyone's information 'lairy' means flashy (like like 'wearing flashy clothes'). I can assure you it is not a made up word.

Regards to all, dancingboy.

Hi
Maybe I've spelt it wrong, should it be laary! I aren't sure. I means in our our area, answering back, having the last word, in a way been a little cheeky, I think the mutterings from Ryan are great, shows a bit of rebellion in Billy dealing with the difficult circumstances without his mum's help
Honestly thanks for all comments, in great, thats what we are here for!

Persons of a nervous disposition should refrain from reading this review.

What an incredible double-header yesterday. You could pluck all the adjectives you like from the dictionary but these would not suffice to convey the quality of entertainment on display to two rapturous audiences who stood at the end to record their admiration.

It had been a while since I had seen the brilliant and magnificent Ryan and the magnificent and brilliant Josh but it was worth the wait to see what I had been missing. Two totally different Billys, same result.

Aside from these two heartstopping shows the big talking point afterwards was, where did the Billy Bus and its multi-talented stars disappear to? Scouts were sent to the four corners of London but they were nowhere to be seen. After the show it seemed they had simply vanished into thin air. An air of concern descended on the masses waiting outside the theatre. Even the thousands of strikers who had earlier marched through the city streets were asking themselves, “What was it all for?” OK, after the matinee some of us had been able to congratulate and thank Ryan for his performance but no such luck for Josh and the Michaels/Debbies later on.

Well, now I am at liberty to explain all. At approx 17.00 hours this afternoon whilst at 34,000ft over South Wales I started receiving UTC's (Undulating Telepathic Communications) that told of a fiendish but, ultimately benign, plot.

You may or may not be aware that an increased amount of UFO activity has been noticed recently. There is a reason for this. The inhabitants of Planet Ginntosea, a far superior race from another galaxy, had for many years been nosing around Planet Earth looking to see if we had anything they hadn't got. The answer was a resounding NO. At least that's the way it was up until 2005. Then a new Earthly phenomenon suddenly appeared that shook them to the core. Something called BETM that had something or someone called Billy in it. Having examined it in detail they knew they just had to reproduce it on Ginntosea itself. They failed miserably. It took them six years to realise that such a rare commodity was available only on Planet Earth. I could have told them that much earlier if they'd bothered to ask.

So, after six years of failure a plot was hatched to steal 'wor phenomenon. This necessitated the use of extraordinarily powerful technology and, most of all, could only be done on a date when the two planets were ideally placed for such a plan to succeed. The first available date was the last day of June 2011. Coincidentally, this happened to be a Thursday when two shows were due to go on. This was a stroke of luck, of course, as it would mean that they could possibly get a Billy with a Ballet Electricity and a Billy with a Street Electricity. But then they thought, what if the two shows are performed by two of Dean, Scott and Josh? They'd miss out on the Street Billy. The day before the plan was due to be executed they began transmitting thought processes to the BETM schedule decider person and were successful in getting both Ryan and Josh on. The scene was now set.

At 22.30 hours on Thursday after the two boys had delivered the performances of a lifetime they swooped. With all their UFO machines in place they set in motion a Beam-Up process. This was quickly followed by Cloning and within a very short space of time they had their Billys. But these Ginntoseans are kindly people. They did not wish to deprive us of 'wor phenomenon and soon after they were all safely back in the Billy House without even knowing what had gone on.

The Ginntoseans are also very careful about copyright and names. So, if you focus your telescopes on their capital city, Raivtico, and zoom down to the theatre you will see a sign that says:

Mercury Theatre presents

Toby Lilelli

Starring Jake Brosh and Ronan Scillony

(more Tobys coming soon) ...whatever can that mean? The next suitable date for a Beam-Up is said to be 24th September 2011. That happens to be a Saturday, with two shows. Could they be thinking of ?..........we shall see.

Now that the phenomenon has spread to Outer Space it is conceivable that, by 2020, it could be in every Galaxy. With their show running 24/7 I was tempted to build a spaceship and head to Ginntosea to see the Clones. But, on second thoughts, I prefer the originals myself.

Oh, and BTW, Josh obliged and did tell Debbie quietly to f off ..........loved it :D .

And, finally and most important of all, thanks to Ryan, Josh, Connor Kelly, Reece, Francesca, Emily Smith and all the cast for a fantastic two shows.

Thanks for the Thursday night review.I was at the matinee performance and if you look at the 'Tracking Billy Elliot London' thread you will see that I described Ryan's performance as MAMBA (Marvellously Amazing Magically Brilliant and Awesome). Can't say fairer than that can I? I've said previously that I am running out of superlatives to describe not only the show but some of the individual perfomances.

Cheers dancingboy.

I was at the evening show on 23rd June, when Ryan was playing Billy.

I also though his performance was as you say, MAMBA.

Worthy of my prolonged standing ovation. His take on electricity was, "Electricity" It made the hair stand on the back of my neck, it was that amazing!

Also his angry dance was performed with so much passion.

I wish I could write up so much more about the show, but it left me pretty shell shocked  with amazement of how skillful these young performers are.

I absolutely can't wait until my next show :D

but the joy and feeling will stay with you forever.”

I,too,am amazed every time I see the show at the wonderful dancing skills (and acting skills) of all the Billy's. They get better and better.

I am sure you will again enjoy the performance this evening. Look forward to reading a review from you.
