Interestingly, in that same article (at the very bottom) it indicates that "Disney plans a big stage musical version of "Dumbo" by "Billy Elliot" director Stephen Daldry."

Yes, that has been batted around for more than a year, actually. There have been mentions of it in some of the articles that are in the Stephen Daldry thread.

Yes. I've read about this before -- but the reason I posted about it again was the last thing I had read about it was that Daldry couldn't reach agreement with Disney on the project and so I thought it was dead. But, if this new article is accurate, apparently it isn't dead.

Jeremy Jordan, who starred in the short-lived "Bonnie & Clyde", will return to Broadway this spring as Jack Kelly in "Newsies".

Tickets went on pre-sale this past Monday for members of Audience Rewards and Broadway Direct. I believe anyone should be able to use these links, even if you are not a member of these groups. I will be seeing one of the final previews on Monday 3/26, following my Billython weekend in Columbus.

Here is a nice photo on their FB page featuring a few of the news boys, including former BETM ensemble member Ryan Steele.
