Just to be clear the Hotel Carter queries were a joke...the place is infamous for being the definition of bad...USA champion bad.

I usually stay at the Element Hotel on 39th street, between 8th and 9th. I like it because there is free breakfast and each room has a kitchen, even though I have never used it. It's new, clean, next to a subway station, and walking distance to BE.

Well....that is a pretty high price! I did get the room much cheaper using hotel.com website. I think it was like $200 (with taxes) per night. It isn't bad, especially if you are sharing the cost.
