Re: Landon Harris: Tall Boy
Landon has posted lots of photos of his recent activities, including a visit to BETM in London while he was spending time at the Royal Ballet School's Summer Intensive:

Landon and Ethan Fuller are interviewed by the local Fox Channel about their upcoming performances in this year's Nutcracker at the Straz Center in Tampa:

Re: Landon Harris: Tall Boy
Neither Landon nor Ethan were able to achieve their full potential in Billy Elliot The Musical, and no wonder. If they had stayed with the production as Billy, Billy's voice would have been considerably deeper than Jackie's or Tony's.ERinVA wrote:Landon and Ethan Fuller are interviewed by the local Fox Channel about their upcoming performances in this year's Nutcracker at the Straz Center in Tampa:

Landon was never Billy. Always a Tall Boy - and very good.accessmenj wrote:Neither Landon nor Ethan were able to achieve their full potential in Billy Elliot The Musical, and no wonder. It is my understanding that discussions on this site avoid the subject of voice change, among other issues. I saw Ethan as Billy, he was brilliant. These two lads have moved on , as have all former Billys, Small and Tall Boys. Let us praise their post-Billy success!

Re: Landon Harris: Tall Boy
The issue of voice change related to speculation about when a boy is likely to leave the show is what we ask members to avoid. We ask that in order to prevent what is often treated as a negative factor in discussing a Billy's performance, and we do not want to add extra stress for any Billy who might read this forum when he is dealing with his impending departure from the show because of growth and vocal changes. That time is emotional enough for many of them without our harping on something they can not help.
After a boy has become a Billy alumnus, as these two are now, talking about their present voice is not off limits.

I stand corrected.ERinVA wrote:The issue of voice change related to speculation about when a boy is likely to leave the show is what we ask members to avoid. Re: Landon Harris: Tall Boy
I will add, however, that talking about their vocal changes during their time in the show even after they have left it would still go against our policy. Talking about how it would have been "if they had stayed" is pretty pointless, isn't it? The fact is, they are not now in the show, so why go back to talking about their voices in that context? They are both now young men beyond the age to perform as Billy, and their voices sound perfectly fine to me. As you say, kport, they have moved on. Let's celebrate their post-Billy success.

Re: Landon Harris: Tall Boy
I do not want my previous post to be taken as critical of Ethan or Landon. I saw them both, and I actually wished that I could have seen them again.
I just found it ironic that their adult voices are deeper than the adult actors that they worked with as kids. As the adults that they are now, their voices are actually impressive and their careers in dance seems to be on an upward track. Best of luck guys. The sky's the limit.
