I've succombed to the hype (despite saying I wouldn't!) and am off to see 'Slumdog Millionaire' tonight!
Last film I saw at the cinema was 'Defiance' which was excellent.
What movies did you see recently?

I went with a couple of friends, one thought it was good, the other shared my opinion.

I just saw The House Bunny on DVD. I normally don't like those types of movies, but decided to give this one a try. I really enjoyed it! It was hilarious! I definitely recommend seeing this one.

Re: What movies did you see recently?
I went to the cinema on Monday to see The Watchmen. It's a superhero film, but with adult themes introduced in a desperate attempt to make it more interesting. Basically, think Sin City crossed with Marvel, and you're pretty much there. Found it fairly predictable to some extent - I even guessed who the villain was - but there is an 'Ooooo, didn't see that coming' moment towards the end.
Didn't make up for the dullness that the film was mostly comprised of, unfortunately (I was clock-watching after only an hour) and the violence that was thrown in just seemed a bit, well, pointless. Mind you, I'm not really into superhero films. The only reason I enjoyed the latest Batman was because of Heath Ledger's performance.
